Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens

Philadelphia is a city filled to the brim with art. It’s home to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with the famous Rocky steps, along with the Barnes Foundation, Rodin Museum, and many others. Philly is also the mural capital of America, where you can find huge, stunning murals on seemingly every street. One of my favorite pieces of art in Philly is place that you have to visit, the Magic Gardens on South Street. It is a huge, intricate maze of mosaic art, created by artist Isaiah Zagar. If you look carefully, you’ll find hidden messages, tiny figurines and other surprises embedded into the architecture.

So next time you find yourself in the City of Brotherly Love and before the weather gets too cold, make sure you make your way to this Philly gem. Happy exploring. xx
