I may have gotten a bit ahead of myself in my last post about fall. There’s still some stuff I want to share with ya about the end of my summer! I love going on “adventures” and being #carefree and #spontaneous, so that’s exactly how I wanted the end of this summer to be.
I’m a massive Green Day fan, and two weeks ago, it was full-on Green Day awesomeness. The week started off by seeing Turn it Around, the Green Day-produced documentary about the story of East Bay punk in California, at the Prince Theater. It was beyond cool to watch the evolution of the punk scene in California and to hear so many musical legends talk about their experience. If the doc ever ends up on Netflix, give it a watch.
The next day was pure heaven – Catfish and the Bottlemen opened up for Green Day. There are few things better than watching two amazing bands perform on the same stage. Even if you aren’t the biggest Green Day fan, they are a band you need to experience live. I’ve always wondered if bands/artists who have been around for a while ever get tired of singing their biggest songs night after night on tour. I just don’t think it’s true for Green Day – they put so much energy and life into every song as if it’s the first time they’ve ever played it. Ugh, I just love them so much.
Speaking of concerts – there are so many awesome concerts in Philly this fall. Bastille, Harry Styles, Bleachers anyone?

August also involved two trips to NYC. In early August, my friends and I went to a live taping of The Chris Gethard Show, saw Bleachers perform on GMA and saw Waitress on Broadway. Needless to say, it was an exhilarating 24 hours, and I love weekends like that. The second time was for a more bittersweet moment – my friend Grace is moving from NYC to Seattle 🙁 and we went to wish her well on her move. Can’t wait to visit ya soon!

I recently signed up for the Goddess Provisions subscription box (not an affiliate link or sponsored) and I am in love. These boxes are designed to enhance your spiritual practice, and items range from beauty, snacks, crystals, aromatherapy and much much. Plus, every item is vegan/cruelty-free and supports some awesome artists. My August box included an awesome quartz crystal, a highlighter brush, and several beauty items. Definitely check them out.

And of course, what Philly summer isn’t complete without a few visits down the shore?

I hope you had a great end of your summer; let me know what you did!
Cheers to a great summer, thanks for making it an awesome one! <3
