In the Mix PHL

You might remember in a few blog posts back that I mentioned In the Mix Philadelphia, the new way to network in Philly. It was such a great event, and I wanted to share some snaps and my thoughts on their recent event at Coda!

In the Mix was founded by brother and sister Adam and Rachael Pritzker and Jennifer Brown, who wanted to change the way we network in the City of Brotherly Love. It’s a “community built for all millennials at different points in their lives, whether just entering college, graduating, looking to meet new people, job searching or even looking to change career”. What’s not to love about that?

The panel speakers this time around included Ryan Dorsey, owner of NOTO, Recess Lounge, Dos Tacos & Maison 208; Kristin Detterline, Group Editor of Philadelphia Style Magazine, Erin Branche, owner of Lash Bash Philly; and Steve Shea, Founder & CEO of Everything Clicks & Ajungo Holdings. Quincy Harris of The Q on Fox MC’d the discussion, and was super entertaining as always.

The speakers discussed their struggles and successes with being an entrepreneur and provided us with some sage advice about achieving our goals. The audience also had an opportunity to interact with and ask questions to the panel speakers. Not only was the discussion very informative, but also very inspirational. It truly is so motivating to hear a group of people who worked so incredibly hard to make their dreams a reality share every aspect of their experiences, from the really good to the really bad. Definitely appreciated their honesty in their hustle.

Food was supplied by the always delicious DiBrunos and &pizza, PLUS there was an open bar. But best of all, there was raffle which benefitted the Best Friends Animal Society, a non-profit working to reunite and rescue animals displaced during the recent hurricanes.

Obviously never shying away from a photo booth

The atmosphere was so relaxed and fun, and it was a fantastic way to meet some awesome Philadelphians who are doing big things. I love the whole concept of In the Mix and am so excited for what’s in store for them. If you’re in need of some career advice/inspiration, definitely attend their next event.

Thanks for having Positive Publicity, In the Mix! Check out their Facebook to learn more, and keep an eye out for their next Philadelphia event!
