Haircut at Rittenhouse Hotel

It’s amazing how great a new haircut can make you feel, and I was desperately in need of one. So I was extremely fortunate that fabulous hairstylist Janine at the Rittenhouse Hotel Salon and Spa reached out to me about a fresh cut!

Located in the stunning Rittenhouse Hotel, the Rittenhouse Salon and Spa is beautiful, as you would expect. The view of the park certainly doesn’t hurt either! Plus, who wouldn’t love to head over to Parc or Devon for dinner after getting a new ‘do?

I don’t know if anyone else is like this, but I always get anxious before getting a haircut. It’s not a fear that the cut won’t look good; I get anxious sitting in a chair worried that I’ll run out of things to talk about with the stylist (please tell me I’m not alone in this). But that fear wasn’t even a possibility with Janine, because she put me right at ease and we chatted the whole time – mostly about Bravo 😉 . She has such a fun personality and is very attentive. During our consultation, I mentioned I wanted a Caroline Stanbury-esque cut (Ladies of London fans will know), and Janine delivered.

The finished product! A short, icy blonde bob for the winter. Janine completely understood what I was looking for and I was so happy with the result. The whole experience with her was so enjoyable, and I felt so pampered. In addition to cuts and color, she also does extensions. While my cut and color were complimentary and I neglected to ask how much it would cost (bad blogger moment!), I can say it would be worth every penny for such a great cut. She is your go-to girl when you’re ready to do a drastic look!
