But first, some housekeeping + updates –
- If you haven’t already, sign up for my weekly newsletter here. Last week, we went on a Bravo deep dive, and this week I’ll be writing about my love for Buy Nothing Groups, or my newfound obsession with Olivia Rodrigo, or something else. We haven’t decided yet, but stream SOUR here until then.
- My great friend and former colleague Alex Swanson wrote a feature on me for her senior PR class, and shared it on her blog as well. 🥺 I was so touched by this. Alex never fails to impress and amaze me, and I’m so excited to see where life leads her next since her recent college graduation.
- Check out previous Philly Finds here, including the inaugural mozzarella stick competition post.
- I took a brief break from music interviews, but I’m happy to share that they are coming back. Stay tuned for an interview with rapper Mike Brown coming later this week.
Hellooooo Philly, it is a hot one out there. Stay hydrated and be sure to slather on that SPF baby. To me, Philly (or perhaps it’s my feelings towards all cities in the summer) tends to feel unexciting and sticky in the summer months. Any chance I get to escape the city I take, but I’m trying to shift this mindset this summer. I live in an amazing city! There’s always something to do! PRACTICE GRATITUDE, CAMILLE!
Anyways, here’s what I’m loving right now…
Lil Nas X Mural on Writer’s Block
We (and by we, I mean I) use the term cultural reset loosely, but Lil Nas X’s MONTERO music video was indeed a cultural reset. It’s been panegyrize on the wall of Writer’s Block Rehab by artist @asheyeart.
Flowers & Company’s new location
I believe they were located elsewhere in Rittenhouse previously, but it news like they have new digs on 19th & Spruce. They had a lovely selection of plants and decor.
El Rey Nachos
They say a photo’s worth a thousand words…
SoulCycle in the Marriott & BPM Fitness
SoulCycle Rittenhouse has temporarily re-located to the Marriott on 12th and Filbert. I was so happy to be back at Soul, even more so that it was a “disco ballroom” experience.
I also want to shout out Philly based workout BPM Fitness. I’ve been taking their circuit training classes, which I’ve really been enjoying.
See you for another edition in a few weeks!
