Philly Finds Vol. 68

Hey there, welcome back to Philly Finds.

So to start out… I hope you climbed a greasy pole last night. I hope you cheered louder than you ever thought humanly possible. I hope you blasted Dancing on My Own so loudly your ear drums burst. I JUST HOPE YOU HAD A REALLY FUN NIGHT WATCHING THE PHILLIES WIN.

Last week was a whirlwind, so let’s get into it…

Artur Kirsh Salon

Last week began with a fresh cut at Artur Kirsh Salon, located at the Bala Cynwyd Saks. I had been there over a year ago and was extremely happy to be back. Artur is a master stylist, and has styled people like Dorinda Medley, Betsy Johnson, Carolina Herrera, Celine Dion, Kathy Griffin and Nicole Miller, and has styled supermodels of New York and Milan’s Fashion Weeks, the Chanel Trunk Show, Christian Louboutin Fashion Show at Neiman Marcus, the Carmen Marc Valvo Fashion Show, and the Derek Lam Fashion Show. So YES, I am not worthy to be in such a presence! But the beauty of Arthur is that he makes you feel like royalty, no matter who you are.

I recently wrote about my ongoing hair journey and told Artur about it as well, and he completely understood my needs and what I was looking for. I was so, so happy with my cut – it’s amazing how good a haircut can make you feel. These are the opportunities I’m extremely grateful for.

He also mentioned that his son is a DJ – check out his music here.

Fite Fashion Show

Tuesday was spent celebrating Michelle Fite and her fashion collection at Level 28 at AKA. Michelle and I had been working on a collaboration, which unfortunately was derailed by C*VID. So it was really nice to finally be able to properly celebrate her work, see it all on display, and to reconnect. Congrats Michelle! <3

The Rounds – Philly-based delivery service

I was introduced to The Rounds at a recent event, and my first order recently came. To briefly explain what The Rounds is, it’s a sustainable delivery service that provides Philly-made products, cleaning supplies and food. For my first order I selected olive oil, soap, chocolate-covered almonds, pistachios, and Kismet Bagels (!!). And let me just say how blissful it is to wake up to Kismet bagels on your counter.

You can sign up here for The Rounds if you’re interested (full disclosure that this is a referral link)!

Franklin Mortgage

Ok so I apparently had forgotten or simply didn’t know that Franklin Mortgage had moved. So imagine my surprise when I discovered on my walk there that it is no longer where it used to be. You can now find it tucked away at 1715 on Rittenhouse, and be prepared to be immersed in an intimate, sexy setting. We enjoyed several cocktails in a dim lighting, plush chairs, and good company. Mark it for your next date night.
