Brunch & Brick at White Dog Cafe

When it comes to cozy brunches, it doesn’t get much cozier than one of my favorite spots in Philly area, the White Dog Cafe in Wayne.  With three locations, you can visit White Dog in the city and the suburbs. It’s recognized as one of the nation’s first farm-to-table restaurants, and the menu changes seasonally with local foods. Now that summer is here, the outside dining section will be opened to enjoy brunch in the sun. My cousins and I often catch up here, and I think you’ll see why we love it so much.

As you might have guessed by the name, the restaurant is dog-themed – a canine lover’s dream! Each room of the restaurant has a different vibe; from a rustic room consisting of wood paneling, gingham and dangling books, to a crisp, white room that gives you the feeling that you’re in a Country Living Magazine spread. In each room, you’ll find dog paintings, dog pillows, and dog sculptures. It’s definitely going to be packed, so reservations are highly recommended.

Every dish I’ve had here was exceptional, and service is wonderful. We love to order the local artisan cheese plate, where you can choose from a selection of délicieux fromage. As we know nothing about cheese, aside from the fact that we love to eat copious amounts of it, we always ask a helpful server what their favorites cheeses are.

Post-brunch events included an impromptu photo shoot. I can’t stop/won’t stop wearing these shades from Verde in Center City Philadelphia. They are the most fun.
