Philadelphia Holiday Sights and Sounds

I’m really feeling in the holiday spirits and I hope you are, too. Maybe it’s the amount of pizzelles I’ve consumed, or playing “All I Want for Christmas Is You” nonstop, but I’m feeling festive 24/7. Also, Philly being beyond beautiful during the holidays really helps. So today, I’m sharing some Philly holidays shots from this season!

The Christmas Village in front of City Hall is a sight to see. The smell of pretzels, mulled wine, and schnitzel alone is enough to make the trip. It’s open until Christmas Eve, so there are still a few more days to plan a visit!

Two weeks ago, I did a tour of the Wanamaker Building with Philadelphia Delta Gamma alumnae, which was one of the coolest tours I’ve ever taken. As one of America’s very first department stores, the history behind this building is incredible, with art is hidden in the walls and Tiffany glass windows to admire. I highly recommend taking a tour of this building. Afterwards, we were treated to a quintessential Philly holiday moment: the Macy’s Light Show with the Wanamaker Organ.

After dinner in East Passyunk one night, my family and I took a drive down Miracle on 13th Street. My poor phone photos do not do this street justice, you need to see it to believe it!

2016 has been a weird and wild year, and it seems like many of us are ready to ring in 2017. I’m heading out to California to ring in the New Year and go to the Rose Bowl (to watch Penn State win!). What are your plans for the holidays?

Wishing you all a Merry Everything, safe, happy, and healthy holidays and only the best things in life <3 I’ll see you in the New Year!
