Hellooooo everyone! Before we get started, let me begin by apologizing for my lack of writing recently. I’ve been seriously slacking, but I’m making it my plan to change all of that during the remainder of July, so please do stick around! I just came back from a quick trip from Montréal, and I’ve put together an overview of it! If you’ve been to Montréal before, I’d love to hear what you think and what you did.
Where we stayed: At a cute Airbnb in Old Montréal. If you’re looking to book a Montréal getaway, I would definitely recommend staying in Old Montréal; it’s very charming and walkable, with so many cute shops and great restaurants. Not to mention being so close to the water.
The Montréal food scene is so AMAZING! Every meal we had was absolutely stellar (not to mention the exceptional coffee). Here’s where we ate:
- Dolcetto & Co. for delicious pizza. This is the first place we ate, and it was the perfect welcome to the city. I loved the nautical theme and of course, the ‘za. Thanks to our awesome waitress here who gave us amazing restaurant recommendations!
- Sea Salt for a lovely outdoor brunch.
- Tapas 24 for dinner (my favorite meal).
- Tokyo Sushi
- Pizzaiolle
- The Lockhart – The Harry Potter-influenced bar. Guys, the food and drink was amazing. I had The Botanist and the jerk-roasted cauliflower – it was so, so good. Plus, the wait staff could not have been friendlier! A very magical experience indeed.
- Taberna for lunch
- Tommy for a solid brunch. I ordered gazpacho, avo toast, and two Americanos because they were that good. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner also recently stopped by here 😉
What we did:
- Visited Musée des beaux-arts (Museum of Fine Arts)
- Admired Jardin botanique (Botanical Gardens) – My friend Meg visited earlier this year and could not recommend the Botanical Gardens enough, and I could see why! It’s an absolute heaven for any plant lover and botany enthusiast.
- Biodome – For the sake of honesty, I was not a fan of the Biodome. It made me sad more than anything being there unfortunately :/
- The Olympic Stadium, home of the 1976 Olympics
- Basilique Notre-Dame and Place d’Armes
- Place Jacques Cartier
- Explored Old Montreal, Old Port, Clock Tower Beach, and strolled along the water
