I want to try out a new series here on Positive Publicity called Philly Finds. Unlike Links I’m Loving, Philly Finds will focus on just things around Philadelphia I’ve recently checked out or am looking forward to. Enjoy!
Wm. Mulherin’s Sons – This Fishtown Italian-influenced restaurant isn’t so much of a new find, as it’s already well established in the Philadelphia food scene as one of the best places to eat in the city. I had brunch there this past weekend, and the hype is very real. I enjoyed the Eggs on Volcano, while my friend Katie enjoyed the yogurt and fresh fruit with a croissant. And let me just say, the coffee is perfection. If you’re a history buff, you’ll enjoy this breakdown of the beginnings of what we now know as Wm. Mulherin’s Sons. And for those who can’t get enough, you can also book a room at their hotel. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!
Sassy Souls Boutique – Philadelphia-based jewelry designer and founder of Sassy Souls Boutique Stacy recently held a launch party for her brand, and it was a pink paradise dream. I was in love with the celestial jewelry and tassel earrings, which were surrounded by every candy you could imagine. Check out her Etsy shop for her beautiful pieces and to support an awesome Philadelphia business. Congrats Stacy!
Inphltrate – You may have noticed the cleverly named artist Inphltrate’s street art around Philadelphia. I’m a fan of anything a bit macabre, so naturally I’m loving her artwork. If you’re not in Philly, you can still admire her art on her Instagram.
In the Mix Philly – Networking events can always be a little intimidating, and In the Mix Philly is aiming to end that. Their goal is to connect like-minded peers and provide access to some of the most talented and innovative members of Philadelphia in a fun, relaxed environment.
Their next event is on November 1st at Coda, and panel speakers include Ryan Dorsey, owner of NOTO, Recess Lounge, Dos Tacos & Maison 208; Kristin Detterline, Group Editor of Philadelphia Style Magazine, Erin Branche, owner of Lash Bash Philly; and Steve Shea, Founder & CEO of Everything Clicks & Ajungo Holdings. Tickets are $35 and includes food, an open bar and a donation to Best Friends Org, a nonprofit working to reunite and rescue animals displaced during the recent hurricanes.
It’s a great event to attend if you’re a young entrepreneur, want to meet new people or need some career/goal inspiration. Think of it as a networking event created by millennials, for millennials. Pretty awesome.
