It’s been a hot sec since I’ve done a Links I’m Loving, and this blog is well overdue for one. Even though spring is still technically a few days away, this post is titled Spring 2018, because if you put it out into the universe, it’ll feel more like spring, right? This edition is chock-full of things I absolutely love, and think you will, too. Enjoy!
What I’m Watching: Kalyn Nicholson’s YouTube Channel. I came across Kalyn Nicholson’s YouTube channel a few months ago (I was probably searching for morning routine videos), and I’ve been a big fan ever since. Everything I could ever want in a channel can be found on Kalyn’s – home decor, travel, organization ideas, managing anxiety, social media tips, workout motivations; everything! She has an amazing view on life, and is refreshingly open and honest. I try to watch a one of her videos each morning to get a boost of motivation before I start my day. ALSO she has an awesome blog!
What Blog I’m Loving: Keep Calm and Chiffon. Austen’s blog Keep Calm and Chiffon covers beauty, fashion (love her style), travel, and my personal favorite, career. AND after reading some of her portfolio pieces, I discovered she’s interviewed Billie Joe Armstrong (screaming internally and externally). I also especially love her Instagram story polls. Definitely give her a follow!
What I’m Reading: Girls Night In. My friend Alyssa introduced me to this weekly newsletter (thanks Alyssa!), and I’m so glad she did. Some Friday night (ok, MOST Friday nights, let’s be real), I like to stay in, nest, and relax. Girls Night In arrives in your inbox every Friday and is filled with recipes, book suggestions, self-care tips, fun videos – everything to make your Friday night in peak chill and fun. Sounds like something that’s up your alley? Sign up here!
What I’m Recommending: Thayers Witch Hazel. Awhile ago, I wrote about how I finally was able to get clearer skin after years of trying. But one thing I’m still struggling with is acne scars. Many friends, blogs and other online resources recommended witch hazel to speed up the healing of acne scars. I’ve been using witch hazel for about a week now, and I’m already noticing more glowing skin. Plus, it really feels like my face is completely clean before heading to bed. Can’t recommend the stuff enough.
What I’m Listening to: Lore Podcast. I’m a sucker for anything spooky, mysterious, eerie (even though I usually regret watching/listening to anything scary-related later). However, I do not regret listening to Lore Podcast, which “exposes the darker side of history, exploring the creatures, people, and places of our wildest nightmares.” My one regret is that I didn’t start listening sooner! It’s extremely well-done and thought-provoking. Host Aaron Mahnke explains the origins of some of our superstitions and urban legends. Apologies if you have trouble falling asleep tonight 😉 .
As always, love you all tons and leave a comment below with any links to check out! ❤
