A Motivational Guide

We all find ourselves feeling stuck in a rut every now and then, and that’s totally OK! The important thing to remember about feeling “stuck” is that it won’t last forever, and there are so many things you can do to get yourself motivated to get out of that feeling. I made a little list of things I like to do to get myself pumped up and excited to start or finish my goals.

To start things off, I’ve made a Spotify playlist of songs that make me feel SUPER powerful and motivated (obviously with tons of Gaga and Broadway). Music is a major thing that gets the motivation juices flowing. That’s why we pop in our headphones before we work out or before tackling emails, right? Sometimes all it takes is that one song to kick you into high gear. What songs motivate you? Let me know and I’ll add them to the playlist!

Make a Goal List – Whenever I feel stuck in a rut, I like to make a list of goals I want to accomplish. They can be big things (plan a vacation, tackle that big project) or smaller thing (finish a blog post, book a workout class). Write down anything that helps you get where you want to be, no matter how big or small. Having a tangible list of goals helps you visualize exactly what you want to accomplish and gives you a clear understanding of what you need to do to achieve it. Baby steps are important to any big goals – every successful person had to start with baby steps, right? Plus, it is a fantastic feeling being able to cross something off of your list once it’s completed. It’s all about giving you a positive outlook and manifesting/attracting your goals.

I love making my phone or computer background an inspirational quote or image. Since I’m constantly on either one, I get a daily dose of an inspirational message. Surrounding yourself with motivational/inspirational messages can have such a positive effect on you. Whether you feel stuck in a rut or just need a little extra boost to accomplish a project, I hope the tiny steps in this post helps. Maybe you’re even feeling a bit insecure about going after something you want. Go. For. It. If you’re looking for that sign from the universe to tell you to go after it, consider this that sign. Just take that first step to get there, even if it’s not easy. Go out there, kick some butt and make your goals a reality. YOU CAN DO IT! <3
