Updating & Catching Up – Welcoming 2019

Hi guys, I hope you’re all doing well and you’re feeling ready for the new year! The holidays can be tough for a lot of people, and I hope your’s went well. <3 It’s been some time since I’ve done a more personal, life update blog post. Why not kick off 2019 with one?

This time of year always makes me re-evaluate every single aspect of my life. I’m OK with saying it’s a weird time in life right now, but a good time nonetheless! I’m wondering now more than ever, what is it I want out of life? Am I putting in enough work to get those things? What habits do I need to break? What things are no longer serving me in pursuing my goals? (These are the things that keep me up at night friends 😉 ).

Which brings me to blogging and social media. It’s not that Positive Publicity has been put on the back burner, it’s more that I’m trying to figure out where to take this blog in the future (if there is something you’d like to see more of on the blog, please DM or email me!). And truthfully, I was feeling uninspired to write posts or create content. I had lost that desire to create for a bit.

And then there’s social media. I’ll occasionally go through periods with Instagram, where I’ll go through my feed and delete photos for various reasons. Sometimes it’s “this doesn’t work with my feed anymore”, or the classic “why did I EVER post this photo?!”. And for what? Making myself obsess over the amount of a certain color in photo? Social media was definitely taking over my life in an unhealthy way. So I took some very needed time off of it. I still love creating content, but truthfully sometimes a break is needed. And one was needed to refresh and refocus.

I think the point of this post is to say I’m in a tiny bit of a limbo. There’s so much I want to do, so much I want to re-focus on, so much I want to improve. This applies to so many areas of my life. The ambition is there, but I’m trying to figure out where to go next. I also need to also take the time to remember the goals I’ve accomplished when I’m feeling discouraged (this is definitely a “practice what you preach” concept for me).

I’ve written about change on here before and I can feel change coming. I’m ready to go into this new year with a clean slate. I made a fresh new vision board, and threw out/donated old items and clothes. It felt amazing and really refreshing.

I always want to be as transparent and honest as possible with readers, and this is where I’m at right now. I’m excited and anxious about many things. I’m working my hardest to keep things in perspective and to live in the present, which is often easier said than done. Part of me writing this blog post is to get all of my thoughts out, but also so anyone who reads this post knows they’re not alone if they’re going through a similar funk.

SO YA. There you have it, a bit of a rambling post there. Thank you guys for sticking around all this time and continually supporting Positive Publicity, it means more than you know. I’m ready for whatever it is this new year may have in store, and I hope you are, too. Wishing you all of best, most positive, empowering and motivating vibes. Whether it’s writing those goals down on paper or getting into that mindset, we’ve got this. <3 <3 <3
