I’ve done a few collab posts with Fine Wine and Good Spirits here, and I have to say that this post is my most favorite one yet. They hooked me UP with pretty much everything you could need to entertain this holiday season. Maybe you’re not an expert in the kitchen, but you’re a monster behind the bar (it’s important to know your strengths and know your weaknesses). Below are some cocktail ideas that will carry you from Thanksgiving all the way until NYE, whether you’re hosting or going to a party. I don’t typically create holiday content, but I had to for this:
MANHATTAN KIR ROYALE

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 oz Dolin Rouge Vermouth de Chambéry
- 1 tsp Jacquin’s Crème de Cassis
- 1 splash Angostura Bitters
- Veuve Clicquot Champagne Brut
Directions
Combine first three ingredients in a flute glass. Top with Champagne.
BOLD FASHIONED

Ingredients
- 2 oz Southern Comfort Whiskey 1⁄2 oz Keep It Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 each, orange wedge and Mezzetta Maraschino Cherry
Directions
Combine first three ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with orange wedge and maraschino cherry.
RED HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients
- 1 1/3 oz J Vineyards & Winery Pinot Noir
- 3 oz bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1⁄2 c milk
- 2 1⁄2 oz water
- 1 pinch kosher salt
Directions
Simmer first two ingredients in a saucepan until chocolate melts, then add next three ingredients and bring to a boil for three minutes, whisking continuously. Pour into a mug.
VANILLA PEAR SANGRIA

Ingredients
- 1 750-mL bottle Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio
- 1 c Single Prop Rum
- 1⁄2 c Keep It Simple Syrup
- 1⁄2 c orange juice
- 1⁄4 c agave syrup
- 1 can ginger ale
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 pears, chopped
- 1 each, orange and Granny Smith apple, sliced
- 6 cinnamon sticks
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve in large wine glasses over ice.
MIDNIGHT TWIST

Directions
- 1 1⁄2 oz Bluecoat Gin
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 oz Keep It Simple Syrup La Marca Prosecco
- 1 lemon peel
Ingredients
Combine first three ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Top with prosecco and garnish with a lemon peel.
