so fresh n so clean – skincare routine

It has been a minute since I’ve done any sort of beauty related blog post. Well quarantine has me searching my brain high and low for content ideas. So I figured I would drop the products I’ve been currently using and loving.

I’ve detailed a bit of my skin care routine before on my How I Finally Got Clearer Skin blog post several years ago, where I opened up about my battle with cystic acne. I’m happy to say that my skin is the best that it’s ever been, even the acne scarring has greatly subsided.

I want to begin by mentioning that I’ve been drinking warm lemon water nearly every morning for digestion purposes, but the effect it’s having on my skin it’s a most welcomed side effect.

Ok, let’s begin!

No affiliate links or sponsored products are in this post, all opinions are my own.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – I recently hopped on the Glossier train, and it’s easy to see why this cleaner is one of their best-selling products. My skin feels so fresh and delicate after using, like a dewy Glossier model.

Thayers Witch Hazel Toner – One of my favorite products to use both day and night. I accidentally ordered the lavender scented one, I typically use the Rose Petal witch hazel. While I can’t provide definitive proof, I credit this toner with reducing my acne scarring.

Natura Apothecary Plumping Collagen – I apply this serum after I wash my face with a cleanser and before I apply my make-up (yes, some days I’ve still been applying a slather of make-up).

Giovanni D:TOX SYSTEM® PURIFYING FACIAL SCRUB – Cruelty free baby. Activated charcoal products are ~ all the rage~ and after using this scrub, I feel like every inch of my pores have been cleansed.

CVS Dead Sea Mineral Mask – Save your bucks and get yourself a lovely CVS brand mask for less than $10. I love the smell, and the cooling sensation on your skin, not to mention the shade of blue is most pleasing.

As for moisturizer, Clinque’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ continues to be my all time favorite to use at night. Shout out to my mom for always giving me her extra samples. Note that this doesn’t have SPF, so be sure to use a moisturizer with SPF during the day.

And there you have it! My quarantine skincare routine. Stay well friends <3
