Helloooo Philly Finds friends. How are you holding up? All well in your world? I had a cute Sunday exploring the Queen Village neighborhood of Philly, and some spots of this area are featured below. Enjoy! <3
Joseph Anthony Spa
Located on the fifth floor of the Loews Hotel is the oasis that is Joseph Anthony Spa. I treated myself to a deep tissue massage – 85 minutes of pure bliss, relaxation and melting into the massage table. It was heavenly. Masseuse Brooke worked her magic and untangled the slew of knots in my back. This is your reminder, that although they can be pricey, massages are great for you. And don’t forget to hydrate afterwards!
Fitz and Starts
On the corner Fitzwater and 4th Street, you’ll find Fitz and Starts (which I had been unknowingly calling it Fitz and the Stars 🥴). Before you decide what to order off of the menu, be sure to listen to their specials (I was decided on the Cubano, but when I heard of the braised beef sandwich, all bets were off). The bread was fresh and crisp, the beef perfectly cooked and the coffee strong. Couldn’t recommend this spot enough for casual and delicious weekend brunch. If you live near Fitz and Starts, just know that I am envious of you.
Hello Yowie
I first became familiar with Hello Yowie when I was working for an agency who did a lot of PR for South Street and its local businesses. Selling all this quirky and fun, Hello Yowie is a fantastic place to shop local for something unique. I also feel it’s important to let you know that they also sell Fly by Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp, which is one of my favorite things.
Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester is hosting a Super Bowl party 🎉
Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester is hosting a Super Bowl LVI party this Sunday, and yours truly will be attending. They’re offering an-all-you-can-eat-buffet and a spot in their “Dream Seats”. Food includes: soft pretzels, build your own cheesesteaks, a nacho bar, chicken tenders and more.
Tickets are $50 and may be purchased here. See you there!
Blue Corn
There’s a few things you need to know about my friend Kerry. She’s an incredible baker, is a massive Kacey Musgraves fan, and she loves Blue Corn. She’s been singing the praises of the Italian Market Mexican eatery for a while now, and I, along with our friends, finally were able to experience it with her. I can see why she loves it so much. In addition to the food being incredible (I licked the bowl clean), the atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to go back.
Ta for now!
