Long time no talk, huh? Welcome back to Philly Finds my cuties.
Before we continue, be sure to subscribe to the newsletter here. The last newsletter was all about the importance of the musical Spring Awakening.
In this edition’s PPA Corner, we’re actually celebrating something the PPA has provided us! Wow! And that is Snacktime’s hit single Junkyard Fire aka F the PPA. You might be familiar with Philly’s own Snacktime, for their big brass, booty shaking music that can be heard all over town. Any now they’ve won over our hearts even more <3
Now onto ze finds…
Laser Wolf
With Michael Solomonov, the hits just keep coming. We must dedicate a good portion of this Philly Finds to Laser Wolf.
At just over a little two-years old, Laser Wolf has already achieve international acclaim. And it should come as no surprise – with other restaurants like Zahav and K’far, the CookNSolo know how to open a restaurant. I feel so silly even typing that sentence, it just goes without saying!
The number one question I received when I posted about Laser Wolf was how we got a reservation. SO, how did I magically acquire such a reservation? I like to think it was a gift from the universe, as when I hopped onto Resy, a reservation for five the next evening at 7:30PM magically appeared. It was most likely a last minute cancellation that presented this opportunity, so my best advice is to keep checking Resy! And for my New Yorkers, you’re in luck, as there’s also a Brooklyn location.
What we ordered:
- Date-Harissa Wings
- Branzino – please you must get this. It says for two, but between the five of us and the other items we got, it was perfect
- Lamb & Beef Koobideh
- The salatim, pita and dessert are included in the meal

The Mulberry
People, don’t sleep on The Mulberry. It’s one of my favorite new spots, because the cocktails are great and the food even better. Just please promise that you’ll go and get the garlic knots with buffalo chicken dip. Please.

Van Cleve & Rosalie’s Derby Day
I really try to not take for granted any opportunity blogging has afforded me. Two weekends ago, I felt extremely grateful.
I was asked to be a guest fashion judge at Rosalie’s Derby Day event, which in and of itself was an honor (head to Rosalie for amazing Italian food BTW). I had the privilege to also wear this stunning Jovani blazer dress, courtesy of Van Cleve, which is located in Paoli. Home to stunning bridal gowns, Van Cleve also has incredible evening wear. If you’re in search of a unique and fabulous piece, that is the place to go.

Tarot lesson
I’ve shared my experience and love of tarot before, but unfortunately over the past year I haven’t practiced as much. So over the weekend, in an effort to get back into it, I went to a tarot class by Gina Tomaine at Lumos Yoga and Barre. Gina is a writer, as well as a co-founder of the Philly Tarot Deck. I’ve been following her work for some time now, and it was so great to meet her in person. Her lesson reinvigorated my love for this practice so much. Who would like their cards read?
