Philly Finds Vol. 54

Welcome, welcome back to Philly Finds.

In some exciting bit of news, Positive Publicity has been nominated for a Metro Philly “Philly’s Best” award for Best Philly Blogger! If this blog has ever helped you plan a dinner or your weekend, I hope that you’ll vote <3 <3 <3

Top Dog Cocktails

Philly-based Top Dog Cocktails threw one hell of a launch party recently. We sipped our way through the day on the spirit based, ready-to-drink cocktails, which come in four options:

So picture it – let’s say you’re hosting a party, but are stressed about the beverage/bartending situation. All you’ve gotta do is shake, pour a Top Dog over some ice, and you are good to go my friend. They are gluten-free, made with local company Boardroom Spirits, and can be found in your local spirits store.

Sign up on their website here to order online (did I mention there’s free delivery in PA?), and be sure to follow on Instagram for more launch announcements.

Street art by @vitruviantruth

On your next walk throughout the city, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the work of vitruviantruth. I spotted of their pieces outside of Eastern State Penitentiary (the artist did let me know that the googly eyes were the addition of a stranger). From my understanding, the project is about “being who/what u want to be”. I hope you’ll spot one of these unique pieces soon.

Zorba’s BYOB

I’m ashamed to admit it, but in my year+ living in the Fairmount area, I had not yet paid a visit to Zorba’s for their Greek cuisine. I finally got my act together and recently enjoyed dinner there:

Started with Tzatziki & Kopanisti
Chicken Souvlaki
Ending with a dessert of Baklava, of course

Tesalate Towels

Not exactly a Philly finds as they are an Australian company, but the perfect towel to bring with you to the Jersey Shore this summer! I was gifted this towel from the company, and brought it will be down the shore this past weekend. In addition to the colorful design, the whole technology behind the towel is that it’s sand free. The towels can also be used for workouts, yoga, backyard picnics, or even as a home accents piece. It’s fast-drying, super absorbent, compact and light.
