Public Relations & Social Media

Instagram Tips

This semester, I had the pleasure of being in a Social Media for Public Relations class with Professor Marcia DiStaso. This class reallyย gave me a greater insight into the world of social media, and how to utilize it in public relations. I highly recommend any Penn Staters to take this class!

This past week, our class held a social media boot camp for student organizations at Penn State to help them improve and enhance their social media presence. I chose to inform student organizations on how to utilize Instagram more, and how to reach their student audience.

Check out my and my partner’s Instagram presentation for some tips on connecting, engaging, and filtering!

Thank you Professor DiStaso and the rest of our class for an incredible semester, this class won’t be easy to forget!

  1. Camille, what a great recap of our presentation! I enjoyed working with you in class and being able to share the amazing skills we learned with many other people. I believe that an event like the one our class held should be held at least once a semester. I think it’s a great opportunity for students to show what their learning and be able to assist other students in the university. Especially because social media is constantly changing, I believe a semester training will be just what clubs and organizations need to make sure they are in tune with the current trend. Great post!
