Philly Finds Vol. 34

Welcome to the latest edition of Philly Finds! If you’re new here, this is a series where I highlight the things I’m loving around Philadelphia. You can check out past Philly Finds here. Also, if you enjoy pop culture takes, music, and personal writings, then I have a sneaking suspicion to might enjoy my newsletter. Subscribe today for weekly postings!

I’m back home after a visit to Texas, where I ate the best BBQ and realized in conversation that I have never been to Ralph’s Italian Restaurant. So if anyone wants to join me for an adventure towards the Italian Market, you know where to find me.

Here is some Philly news that I’m excited about:

Hit the high seas on the Ben Franklin Yacht

While we all fantasize about being on a boat in the summer, it’s likely we don’t have access to one in the city (unless you have an “in” somewhere with someone. And in that case, hit me up). But I will tell you that The Ben Franklin Yacht is the ideal solution when you want to be on the water and see gorgeous skyline views of the city. Not to mention a wide variety of drinks, and the best chicken tenders this side of the Mississippi. We had SO much fun during out three hours cruise. You can book your own private cruise, or hit a happy hour or boozy brunch. As Saweetie once said, it’s “something fun, something for the summertime.”

Minda Living

Address: 2449 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130

If you’re trying to be a better consumer without breaking the bank, I recommend Minda Living. I more so recommend visiting it in person to see their beautiful boutique space.

The Olde Bar

Address: 125 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106

A dirty martini with oysters is an unparalleled culinary experience, as the salt from the martini and brine of the oysters pair perfectly together. For this experience, head to the Olde Bar, located in the Bookbinders building. The crab fingers are also a must have. I left 5 pounds fuller – my wallet not so much.

Cream and Dreams Coffee Shop

Address: 1500 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130

For one of the best iced coffees I’ve had this side of Broad.
